| The Zinc alloy, Zamac 3, was chosen for this buckle for its long term durability and scalable production. After you select the finish for this buckle, we will die-cast it and then electro-plate the zinc on a rack to achieve the color you desire and maintain the surface consistency that can only be conceived through the most skilled and delicate handling. The buckles then proceed to secondary operations to achieve your specified finish. Antique finishes will be dipped in a specific antiquing solution based on the depth of engravings, if any at all. Muted and dull finishes will enter a vibratory process with a special rock compound that softens the metal coating. Wiped finishes will be wiped by hand to achieve a smooth surface with clean lines. |
